Innovation

The quest for optimal extraction

"Taste", "Flavor", "Texture"

With conventional paper filters, the mesh is uneven and prone to clogging, making it difficult to bring out the full flavor and individuality of coffee.

It ensures optimal water flow speed, removing impurities while bringing out the coffee's natural flavor.
After numerous prototypes, we arrived at the answer that the material that could make this possible was a certain polyester material that is also used in medical settings.

HydroSpeed Filter Fiber™

Made with polyester fiber material (medical grade)

The QuickDrip™ uses high-quality filters with extremely precise, medical-grade punching.

Even with fine grinds that would clog regular paper filters, it is less likely to clog, allowing for extremely efficient extraction.

We have succeeded in bringing out the full potential of coffee's rich aroma, flavor, and other unique characteristics.

Features

Filter Characteristics

High-precision filter structure

The 45μm/50μm mesh offers excellent uniformity and precision, making it less likely to clog, resulting in an unprecedentedly efficient extraction, resulting in a smooth, rich flavor.

Filtering Performance

It allows the coffee's original aromatic components to be preserved to the maximum extent possible, providing a rich taste experience.

Heat resistance/durability

It is heat resistant up to 120°C and can handle a variety of unprecedented brewing methods, including pouring hot water at 100°C. It is also highly durable and can be reused up to 500 times.

Reliable extraction quality

The uniform extraction rate and high-quality filter that does not affect the water quality provide the user with the optimal extraction environment.

difference

The difference between the two types of filters

The lineup includes two types with different mesh fineness.
Enjoy the extraction that makes the most of each tea's unique characteristics.

Pro 45

380 mesh/opening size 45μm
Compared to Ultra 55, it has a finer mesh and the flow rate when pouring is slower.

Ultra 55

350 mesh/55μm mesh size
Compared to Pro 45, it has a coarser mesh and the flow rate is faster when pouring.

"Filter Innovation"

As a coffee consultant, I've used filters made from a variety of materials, including paper, metal, and nylon, from around the world, but I think QuickDrip is an excellent product. I compared three types of filters with various coffees: a regular paper filter, a high-flow filter often used in specialty coffee, and QuickDrip. Overall, I was impressed by QuickDrip's ability to bring out the texture and sweetness of the coffee.

In particular, I feel that the ability to bring out the sweetness even in lightly roasted, acidic coffee is a major sensory feature. Another major advantage of QuickDrip is that it allows water to drain very well, so it doesn't clog even when the beans are finely ground. It's a high-performance filter that can extract ingredients very efficiently while preventing over-extraction, resulting in a very high yield.

I think this innovation is the biggest since the introduction of the Precision Basket, a basket filter for espresso machines.

"I feel the wide range of extraction"

I extracted a sample and my conclusion was that it extracted quickly and gave a sense of concentration.

In the sample extraction we carried out, the grind size was a little too coarse and did not achieve the proper concentration, but the fact that it was quick yet produced a sense of concentration meant that the light roast coffee used this time had a wide range of extraction possibilities.

I use the Shivalist in competitions because I like the fast extraction speed and the coffee oils that are reflected in the liquid, making it smoother to the palate, but the QuickDrip also dissolves the coffee oils, which may have a positive effect on the body and pleasant mouthfeel. In terms of taste, I would like to test it with a finer particle size setting.

I also really like the high "yield" of the filter. There are various grades of coffee, but I feel like this filter is a good match for so-called top specialty class beans, so I'd like to try it with Geisha and auction lot coffees.

Sustainable

Reusable

While pursuing the ultimate extraction experience, we also sought to realize a sustainable world.

In order to ensure that the world continues to be a place where many people can enjoy coffee, we would like to take action that is kind to the earth.

That's why QuickDrip is made from durable materials and can be reused up to 500 times with regular maintenance.

Daily maintenance

After each use, clean as follows:

Rinse

After each use, gently rinse the filter surface under running water to remove any residue. Avoid scrubbing too vigorously, as this can cause wrinkles, wear and a loss of filter performance.

natural drying

After rinsing, place the filter in a well-ventilated area and let it air dry. Avoid humid or poorly ventilated environments, as this may affect the filter's lifespan.

Regular maintenance

If you are concerned about odors, oil, or dirt that cannot be removed by regular cleaning methods, please try one of the maintenance methods below.

Soaking (hot water)

Immerse the filter in hot water for about 5 minutes, gently shaking it to ensure thorough cleaning.

Boiling cleaning

Place the filter in boiling water and boil for approximately 3 minutes to remove any dirt or grease that may have built up on the filter.

Cleaning with detergent

Clean gently with dish soap and a soft brush or sponge, taking care not to damage the surface.

Dedicated detergent

If you are bothered by the smell of dish soap, try using a special detergent such as espresso machine cleaner.

Before use

About filters

Due to the characteristics of this product, the extraction results will differ from those of regular paper filters. Try out various drip methods and enjoy a different extraction experience.

The QuickDrip™ can be used both ways. When you first use it, you may find that the filter is difficult to unfold and does not fit well with the dripper. If this happens, you can simply turn it over and use it again.

How to use

There is no need to pre-wash before first use. You can use it right away.

Unlike paper filters, you may find it difficult to fit the dripper, especially at first use, but this will not affect the extraction. If you are concerned about the fit, try turning it inside out.

For normal maintenance, simply wash with water. If you are concerned about coffee oils or the smell of detergent, use detergent specifically for espresso machines.
